FIT Show Highlights

June 27, 2023

Despite the fact that we’ve been supplying the roofing market for more than 35 years, Whitesales went to the 2023 FIT Show as a fairly unknown brand in the fenestration market. But we came away as one of the most talked about brands at the show. From the Whitesales branded entrance to our hall all the way to the visitor lanyards proudly displaying our logo, it’s safe to say our FIT Show reel was packed with highlights.

We took with us a clear message for window and door fabricators – choose us as your dedicated rooflight partner and our elegant products (and even more elegant service) will help you make more money from every rooflight and lantern you supply. And the response we had to that message was phenomenal!

Our stand was themed around a traditional members’ club with leather sofas, gentlemen’s afternoon tea and old-fashioned whisky cocktails served from our very own bar, and vinyl decks playing a mix of laid-back jazz. It was all about demonstrating to visitors that when you partner with Whitesales you can relax knowing you’ll get assured, great quality service every time – and fabricators clearly loved that. It was definitely standing room only on late night Wednesday when a saxophonist and singer duo took over with live music and we drew one of the biggest crowds of the night.

We had plenty of products on show as well of course  – our lounge area featured our spectacular linked glazing, and our stylish em.glaze rooflight, complete with Part L compliant proprietary timber kerb, which generated lots of interest, and we even had the official press launch of our brand-new em.glaze SkyVu lantern.

The organisers had introduced an installer hub for the first time this year, and that gave us the perfect opportunity to show how quick and easy it is to assemble the new SkyVu lantern. Karl Grandfield and his willing team gave regular demos – and the assembly got even quicker every time! We showed our technical expertise over in the seminar theatre too, with commercial director Rob Hamblen talking about how the updates to Part L of the Building Regs impact on rooflight design and installation.

We were busy every day welcoming fabricators and installers onto the stand to see the complete Whitesales range. In fact, at the end of the show we won the award for our size of stand for driving and converting the most visitors to FIT.

The We Go Above Whitesales message came across loud and clear throughout and we’re now talking directly to all those fabricators who expressed an interest in working with us. We’re showing them just what it means to have a rooflight supplier who holds vast amounts of stock for fast and reliable delivery, who is dedicated exclusively to this market and won’t ever compete with them on windows and doors, and who can offer truly expert help advice online, on the phone or face to face. And we’re also introducing then to RUFUS – our bespoke online rooflight configurator that’s so user-friendly, it even has its own name and mascot.
