Historic refurbishment

Combining modern performance with heritage design

Replacing rooflights in historic or listed buildings requires painstaking attention but the results are outstanding. Over the course of more than 25 years, we’ve provided bespoke replica rooflights for countless historical buildings, many of them high-profile and listed. With our in-depth experience and wealth of technical expertise, we are leaders in our field.

We believe in bespoke design for architectural harmony

We understand that our heritage is a finite resource. Conservation is all about preserving the past for future generations.

We are passionate when it comes to heritage and conservation projects – we strive to ensure that newly installed rooflights blend seamlessly with the existing building design, whilst meeting, or exceeding, current environmental and thermal performance standards, maximising natural light and improving occupant comfort.

Our custom rooflights are supported by low-profile aluminium frames, and with exact detailing, very large units can be built to precise bespoke designs. This means we can replicate the aesthetics of original rooflight architecture, with the benefit of high-performance glazing and a fully tested glazing system.

To ensure replacement rooflights are faithful to the originals, or complete the architect’s vision, all frames can be powder-coated to any RAL colour. Working closely with architects, we also developed our proprietary Heritage Ogee Glazing Bar to provide sympathetic replica rooflights with unparalleled aesthetics.
